  • Does acupuncture hurt?
One of the main concerns people have with regards to acupuncture is whether or not it will hurt. Acupuncture needles are very thin in diameter and are flexible, nothing like getting an injection or a blood draw. I often liken them to a cat whisker, very fine and flexible. You might be more sensitive in certain areas, but it shouldn’t hurt. You could possibly feel a pinch at first but that should dissapate. Certain points like your hands and feet might be a little more sensitive. More often than not patients don't feel anything with the insertion of the needles. If you feel pain that doesn't subside quickly just let me know and I'll either adjust the needle or choose a different point. Your feedback is important and my main goal is for you to relax and alleviate what you have come in for.

  • First Visit - What to Expect
During your first visit we will go through a comprehensive interview to get a detailed and complete picture of your health and situation while also gaining insight on how it pertains to your current complaints. We will discuss your health goals and what your expectations are with regards to your acupuncture treatments.
If possible, dress in comfortable loose-fitting clothing, this allows for easier access to most commonly used acupuncture points. Also, please be sure to have a small meal or snack before the treatment.
  • How many treatments will I need?
The frequency of acupuncture treatments depends on each individual and their own health history. Your energy level, and your medical condition determine that as well. After your initial consultation, I would like to see you once a week for between six and eight visits. During this time, significant signs of progress will likely appear. As you experience improvement in your condition and enjoy a greater sense of ease in life, treatments may be extended to every other week, every three weeks, monthly and eventually seasonally. The frequency of treatments varies with each individual.
  • Facial Rejuvenation - Why?
Acupuncture has traditionally been used to help with pain and stress relief, but more people are now discovering its wrinkle reducing benefits as well. Many prefer it to more drastic treatments, such as Botox. Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Microneedling and Nanoneedling have become a popular treatment because of the benefits that each patient has seen from it. And while you may come in for cosmetic benefits you will most certainly notice other benefits as well!
  • What is Microneedling?
Micro-Needling treatments use a pen like device that oscillates a tip up and down to stimulate a skin reaction. It induces cell turnover, serum infusion (microneedling allows 3000% more product absorption) and provoke the healing process that results in skin transformation. Micro-Needling is for the treatment and improvement of conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues. Micro-Needling creates micro channels in the skin. When those channels are created the skins own repair response is to start producing collagen and elastin, this is to heal that controlled injury that was just created. That in turn makes our skin tighter and smoother.
  • How many Microneedling treatments will I need?
Maximum results are shown when patients do between 6-8 Micro-Needling treatments. Treatments should be spaced one month apart to allow the skin time to rejuvenate. Results are even more significant with the addition of Nanoneedling treatments or Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture in between. During the treatment I use a serum of Hyaluronic acid and Apple stem cells and depending on your needs can custom create a serum with other herbal concentrates. Hyaluronic acid holds 1,000 times its weight in water. This allows for deep hydration, nourishment and rejuvenation. Apple stem cells are shown in studies to promote facial stem cell rejuvenation over 80%.
